Keto for PCOS | Day 21: Three Weeks In – Small Milestones & Looking Ahead

Three weeks down! It’s hard to believe I’ve been at this for 21 days already. They say it takes 21 days to form a habit, and I can definitely feel healthy habits solidifying in my daily routine. This feels less like a “diet” now and more like just how I live – which is fantastic.

In terms of progress, here are a few milestones I’m celebrating at the Week 3 mark:

Weight: I’ve lost about 3kg so far. It’s not dramatic, but it’s steady and, most importantly, it’s weight I don’t ever plan to find again! I notice it in my face and around my waist the most.

Measurements: I took some body measurements on Day 1, and re-measured today. I’m down an inch on my waist and half an inch on my hips. Seeing the tape measure confirm what I feel (looser jeans) is so motivating.

PCOS Symptoms: My skin is the clearest it’s been in months (even around my menstrual time, which is usually breakout city). Also, I haven’t had a single really bad mood swing. My husband even commented that I seem “more chill” lately – haha!

Fitness: I can walk longer without getting winded. I even jogged lightly for a minute during my walk yesterday to test it out. A month ago, I wouldn’t have dared to jog for fun. This tells me my endurance is improving.

While these might seem like small wins, to me they’re huge. Each one is proof that what I’m doing is working. It’s so easy with PCOS to get discouraged and feel like nothing will ever change – I’ve definitely been in that headspace before. But now I have concrete evidence (scale, measurements, symptoms) that positive change is happening.

Looking ahead, I know the journey isn’t over after day 30 – I intend to keep going. My next mini goal is to hit the 10-pound loss mark (hopefully by around week 5 or 6) and to maybe see an even more regular cycle next month. I’m also thinking of trying a new form of exercise, like a dance class, to keep things fun.

For now, I’m just incredibly proud of making it three weeks with consistent effort and a positive attitude. I remember how daunting Day 1 felt – now it’s Day 21 and I’m actually excited for the future. If you’re following along or working on your own goals, celebrate those small milestones. They really do add up and keep you energized for the road ahead.
