Keto for PCOS | Day 6: Where I Eat Out Without Wrecking Diet

Let’s be real—eating at home is easier when you’re doing keto. You’re in full control of what goes on the plate, how it’s cooked, and what oils are used. But life doesn’t stop for your meal prep. And sometimes you just want to go out and eat like a normal person without throwing your hormones into chaos.


Good news?


You don’t have to stay home forever. I’ve found a few restaurant types that make it way easier to stay keto (without being “that girl” at the table):



1. Grill or Steakhouse-Style Restaurants

These are my go-to for simple, satisfying meals. I order grilled meat (steak, salmon, chicken), ask for butter or olive oil on the side, and swap starchy sides for veggies or salad. No awkward carb math, no stress.

2. Korean or Japanese BBQ Joints

These are surprisingly keto-friendly if you skip the rice. I load up on grilled pork belly, fatty cuts of meat, kimchi, veggies, and seaweed soup. Just double-check if their marinades are sweet—if they are, ask for plain grilled cuts instead.

3. Brunch Cafés or All-Day Breakfast Spots

Eggs, avocado, sausage, bacon, smoked salmon—what’s not to love? I skip the toast and hash browns, and go for extra greens or a side salad. Bonus points if they offer build-your-own plates or customizable omelets.


4. Salad Bars or Build-Your-Bowl Places

When I want something light and fresh, I head to places where I can build a meal. I pile on leafy greens, protein (chicken, salmon, boiled eggs), cheese, avocado, and olive oil-based dressing. I just make sure to skip sugary vinaigrettes or croutons.


Eating out doesn’t have to mean eating wrong. You just need a plan—and a short list of go-to spots. These places have made my Keto journey way more livable, without sacrificing results or social time.
