This new collection, titled "Reading Dolls," draws inspiration from the haunting beauty of Margaret Keane's "Big Eyes" paintings and the poignant narrative of Markus Zusak's "The Book Thief."
 
Each piece depicts a doll, rendered in the iconic wide-eyed style of Keane, yet imbued with the somber themes of war and resilience explored in Zusak's novel.
 
Imagine a childlike doll with its large, innocent eyes hold intently a book held in its small hands. The book, perhaps weathered and worn, becomes a symbol of solace and escape amidst the harsh realities of war. The doll's expression, though peaceful, might hint at a hidden depth of understanding, mirroring the young protagonist Liesel Meminger from "The Book Thief" who navigates the horrors of Nazi Germany by finding solace in stolen books.
